December is all about being present with yourself and those who are all around us. The holiday season can bring families and friends together to experience the joy that this season brings. The best way to help you be present is to take a step back and show appreciation for the things that are all around you. Explore this gratitude practice to see all the things you can be thankful for in your life.

 

Gratitude Practice Journal Prompt

Grab your journal (or set aside some time to share gratitude) and think about the following.

  1. Name one thing that your body does for you daily that you take for granted

  2. Name one thing that you do for yourself that brings you joy

  3. Name one thing in your space that helps you to feel grounded

  4. Name one thing that you experienced this week that made you smile

  5. Name a friend that you feel comfortable around

  6. Name a place that you explored recently

  7. Name one thing in nature that you enjoy

Looking at one of these seven things and saying thank you out loud will help you to see all that the universe has already provided for you. Use the affirmation below to help you ground yourself and welcome more joy during December.
